here's where we stand

The days seem short,
The nights even shorter.
The winter cold, The winter's sun.
We have 3 months to go, 3 months to stay.
In this winter wonderland, it's always the same.
25 below, but the sheets are warm,
25 below, my tummy's full.

It's January 22nd, the year, 2009.
Classes have resumed, The students have all returned. Only 4 months to go, and another year has come and will go. In our hearts we know we love this snow, but at 8 am it's quite hard to let it show. In the mornings we wake, to porridge and a spoon. At night all is silent, and i wouldn't change the world.
